Saudi Neonatal Resuscitation Programme

The Saudi Neonatal Resuscitation Program is an educational program designed to teach life support skills to all health care providers present at the birth of a newborn infant. In the mid-1970s through 1987, theSNRP by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American Heart Association (AHA), and this program is updated regularly and was recently updated (2010) to incorporate the latest information on how to manage newborns with respiratory and cardiac depression. Training programs for teachers and training providers have been launched in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the auspices of the Training Center in several hospitals independently without supervision and evaluation of the quality of these courses. The Saudi Council for Health Specialties (SCFHS) has approved the Society of Neonatology (SNS) Full Clearance to Licensing and Regulating the Newborn Resuscitation Program in Saudi Arabia (SNRP) (No. 100006825 dated 3/12/1431H).
